Oh man it's been a while since I updated this, a lot has gone on!
Baby and momma are getting bigger by the day, and I can quite firmly no longer see my feet when I look down, not even my toes.
It is so funny, when Cora stands in front of me and wants me to pick her up, she has to bend over waaaay far backwards just to be able to look at my face!
About 2 weeks ago, I thought I was NEVER going to make it to 40 weeks (this was around week 33/34) because this baby was really giving me a beating!! Huge rolling somersaults, great big stretches, firm heel plants into the ribs.....this is one strong unborn baby! He was giving me an especially hard time right at bedtime, as soon as I would lay on my right side, he would start kicking down towards the bed, essentially pinching the side of my tummy between him and the bed - talk about uncomfortable! It would lessen if I would turn over on my left side, but he'd be quite active for longer than I wanted to be awake at night!
Thankfully, as he's grown, starting with the beginning of week 35, while he is still super-active, the hits are much gentler, I assume because he has less room to wind up! Now I can frequently feel him stretch out, as if he's trying to find more room! Not too comfy, either, but at least it's better than the last couple of weeks. It's easier for me to picture being pregnant for another month or so now, since he's eased up on me a bit!
Moving around is becoming more of a challenge. I think twice before I sit down, or get up, and rolling over in bed....well I have to have a good reason, and it takes quite a while! I've also been getting tired faster, so I am extra careful of how I spend my time, and try to prioritize.
Things are pretty much right on track as far as getting things prepared and ready for our new son's arrival - I'm really looking forward to getting to hold him!!!
