My daughter is now 17 months old, and we've been teaching her sign language, to help her be better able to communicate with us - hand motions are easier than the intricate tongue placements to form spoken words.
She's really started to sign "baby" quite a lot! So while I had just assumed she was too young to understand, I am starting to think that she has an understanding that Mommy and Daddy are going to have another baby!
It will be so much fun to see how she handles having the new baby around. Looking forward to it, I think she will make a wonderful big sis!

This blog is intended as a journal of our second pregnancy, to better record the daily thoughts and physicalities of being an expectant mother. Our first child was just shy of 15 months old when we discovered I was pregnant again, and already I have forgotton much of the details of that first pregnancy. I hope to remember this pregnancy better by blogging about it in this way.
Psalm 139:13-16
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's
womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and
wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret
place.

depths of the earth,
your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
