So, I cut this picture out of a pregnancy magazine when I was pregnant with our daughter. I LOVE it! To me it just really captures the fact that a pregnant woman CAN still DO things!! Sure, it's a good idea to be more careful, and avoid activities such as say....ice hockey! But a lot of people seem to think that just because a woman is pregnant that she can't lift a finger or do anything.
Yes, there are exceptions. Some end up on bedrest later on in pregnancy. But, the fact is that exercise is a healthy thing to do, especially when pregnant!
I have to confess that with my husband's birthday recently, I kind of went overboard on the cooking and dessert making that week. A double batch of chocolate chip cookies, a birthday cake, and two pies later.....I am packing on the pounds, and I hate to say it but it's not just the baby! I had been doing a fabulous job of walking daily, when my horse cut her leg, but now that she's healed I'd become quite the couch potato! So, yesterday I re-instated the walking, and hope to continue exercising that way.
